1. How to connect AC and wireless AP products?

At present, many ACs are based on distributed forwarding. Generally, the AC is connected to the aggregation/core switch, and the PoE switch is used as the access switch to connect to the AP, as shown in the following figure:

2. Does AC need to purchase authorization to manage the number of wireless APs?

Whether you need to purchase an authorization depends on the specific brand and model. AC generally contains a certain number of free control APs, which exceeds the number of authorizations that may need to be purchased.

3. Can I use it normally if I only purchase a wireless AP without purchasing an AC?

At present, enterprise-level wireless APs generally have several modes such as routing mode, wireless access point mode, wireless bridge mode, client mode, etc., which mode is used according to the functions that need to be implemented, and the required standard and number of APs are used to decide whether to use AC, it is generally recommended to purchase AC and AP at the same time.

4. What should I do if the AC cannot find the wireless AP?

The possible reasons why the AC cannot find the wireless AP are as follows:

[1] The AC connection is incorrect or there is a problem with the wired network settings. If the port isolation setting is incorrect, the VLAN division is incorrect, the port is enabled with DHCP Snooping, etc., you can check the AC connection and the wired network;

[2] The AP is a new model, and the AC of the old version of the software is not yet supported. You can try to upgrade the AC software version to the latest;

[3] The AP factory software version is newer, and the AC of the old version software cannot yet support it. You can try to upgrade the AC software version to the latest;

[4] The network cable connected to the wireless AP is aging, or the crystal head is in poor contact, etc. You can try to replace the new network cable or re-make the crystal head;

[5] The AP is damaged due to environmental reasons, upgrades, improper use, etc., but the probability of occurrence is low.

5. What should I do if the Internet is unstable or dropped after using AC and wireless AP?

After using AC and wireless AP products, the possible causes and solutions for unstable Internet access are as follows:

[1] The AP installation plan is unreasonable. For example, ceiling-mounted APs are installed where the floor height is not enough, or the number of users is not considered when the AP is installed, which leads to too many people. You can choose appropriate products and products according to the actual environment. Plan a reasonable installation location.

[2] The compatibility of the terminal or the instability in individual environments. At present, TP-LINK has made a lot of optimizations in the AC and AP software. You can try to upgrade the AC and AP software to the latest version;

[3] Wireless interference, TP-LINK AC and AP products are positioned as commercial equipment, and are generally used in actual networking environments. At this time, wireless interference between APs has to be considered. You can try to move the AP channel up, down, left, and right. Set to 1, 6, and 11 channels in turn, as shown in the figure below, and adjust the frequency band bandwidth to 20MHz, and adjust the AP transmit power appropriately according to the actual environment;
